Child Safety Standards
Talk Yaaro is committed to private, safe and transparent voice conversations.
These standards apply to the Talk Yaaro - Voice Call Online app and the Talk Yaaro Partner: Voice Host app on Google Play, and to this website (together, “Talk Yaaro”). Talk Yaaro is a voice calling, chat and live audio room service for adults only.
1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
Talk Yaaro prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation in every form. A child means anyone under 18. The following are never allowed on calls, in chat messages, in voice notes, in live audio rooms, in profiles or anywhere else on Talk Yaaro:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — creating, sharing, requesting, describing or linking to it.
- Sexual talk with, about or directed at a child, or any sexualisation of children.
- Grooming — building a relationship with a child, or with someone who has access to a child, in order to abuse or exploit them.
- Sextortion — threatening or blackmailing a child with real or claimed intimate material.
- Asking for, offering or arranging sexual contact with a child, online or in person.
- Child trafficking, or advertising or selling a child for sexual purposes.
- Praising, promoting or giving instructions for any of the above.
2. Adults only
Talk Yaaro is strictly for people aged 18 and over. Every user confirms they are 18 or older before signing in, and every host completes identity verification (KYC) before taking calls. Children may not use Talk Yaaro as a caller or as a host. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.
3. How to report a child safety concern
- In the Talk Yaaro - Voice Call Online app: open the menu (⋮) on a host’s card, in a chat or in a live room, tap Report, choose a reason and describe what happened. You can block the host at the same time.
- In the Talk Yaaro Partner: Voice Host app: open the menu (⋮) next to a caller in Call Logs or in a chat, tap Block and choose a reason. This blocks the caller and sends a report to our team.
- By email: write to support@talkyaaro.com with the subject “Child Safety Report”. You do not need an account to do this.
- On WhatsApp: +91 98718 44100.
Please do not send us child sexual abuse material itself. Tell us who was involved and when, and we will take it from there.
4. What we do
- We review every child safety report as a priority, ahead of other reports.
- We remove CSAM and any other content that breaks these standards as soon as we become aware of it.
- We permanently ban the accounts involved. A banned person may not open a new account.
- We report CSAM and suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation to the authorities, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and the police, and we keep the related account information for them as the law requires.
5. Child safety laws
Talk Yaaro complies with the child safety laws that apply to it, including India’s Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and cooperates with law enforcement requests made through the proper legal process.
6. Child safety contact
Our Trust & Safety team is the point of contact for child safety on Talk Yaaro, including questions about these standards and how we enforce them: support@talkyaaro.com.
7. If a child is in immediate danger
Contact the emergency services first: call 112 (emergency) or 1098 (Childline India). Online child sexual abuse can also be reported at cybercrime.gov.in or on the cyber crime helpline 1930.
