Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 August 2026

By using TalkYaaro (the "Service"), you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By starting a call, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Not a medical or crisis service

TalkYaaro provides peer listening, not therapy, counselling, or medical advice. Listeners are trained community peers, not licensed mental health professionals. If you are in crisis or immediate danger, please contact emergency services or call Tele-MANAS at 14416.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to, while using the Service:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse listeners or other participants.
  • Share content that is illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative.
  • Attempt to identify, record, or contact other anonymous users outside the app.
  • Impersonate a listener, staff member, or another user.

Violating this may result in an immediate, permanent ban from the Service and, where required by law, a report to the relevant authorities.

4. Anonymity

We design the Service to protect your anonymity, but anonymity is not absolute — for example, we may retain limited information tied to a safety report as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions

The Pro plan is billed monthly or yearly as shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law.

6. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, TalkYaaro is not liable for the conduct of listeners or other users, or for outcomes of conversations that take place through the Service.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms or our Safety guidelines.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

9. Changes

We'll post updates to these terms on this page with a revised "last updated" date.

TalkYaaro is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, please call Tele-MANAS at 14416.
